THE BIOLOGY AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT WORKS WITH COMMUNITIES AND NEIGHBORHOODS WITHIN THE MRGCD AND PUBLIC, PRIVATE AND NON-PROFIT PARTNERS TO SUSTAINABLY MANAGE AND ENHANCE THE MRGCD’S NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES.
This includes: endangered species; riparian forest (bosque) management; recreation; supporting local agriculture; development and plan review; research and other resource management concerns.
MRGCD Releases Results of 2015 Drain Outfall Monitoring for Silvery Minnow
The purpose of the “Drain Outfall Study” is to assess the habitat suitability of selected MRGCD drain outfalls as refugial habitat for the endangered Rio Grande Silvery Minnow and other fish species and to evaluate fish utilization of these areas during summer drying events.
