Official Plans (Burkholder Report)

Joseph L. Burkholder was the MRGCD's first Chief Engineer. He and others who helped form the District put together its official plan. The three volumes detail the need for the District, the state of agriculture in the Middle Valley in the 1920s and what lands were included in the District's boundaries. Volume One details the state of agriculture in the Valley, what acequias were already in place and the benefits the MRGCD would provide to the community.

Volume Two of the Burkholder report details the scope and the cost of the effort to build the MRGCD. It has specifics about the materials to be used and the amount of dirt to be moved.
